series of oil pastel drawings

An experimental drawing independent study class at University of Connecticut, focuses on a series of oil pastels drawings tied with my love for flowers but in an abstract and interesting form.

Both drawings were expanded by individualized panel and connect them in magical ways to express reflection, vivid colors, and personal feelings/ narratives. Expanding the series to be colorful, vivid, lot of elemental shapes and enriching textures.

AUTOMATIC DRAWING

In University of Connecticut’s Experimental drawing, using large drawing paper in a 3-hr session, using an automatic method various drawing techniques to create a drawing that is used to relinquishes in conscious control to move the hand freely or randomly across the drawing paper to express the drawer’s subconscious mind onto creating a new masterpiece.

UNTRADITIONAL DRAWING

Self love and transformation

In the final project of experimental drawing class, creative brief was to make a drawing or series of drawings with drawing elements onto untraditional surfaces that can’t be typically found in arts or craft stores.Producing acrylic based pastel paint and work my way around painting on seashells and pearls alongside with painting and drawing onto thin fabric ( light color) to shape an abstract visual form art piece. Utilizing the sea theme and pearls as a way to express enlightenment, femininity empowerment, and self love, including transformation in some point as well!
