Labels/ bios made focusing on spotlighting before 2000’s graphic designers for University of Connecticut’s GD 3 : Design Survey group exhibition, ‘Outside the Spotlight’ . This exhibition creates the challenges faced within the conventional historical narratives. There are selection of between queer, black, trans, people of color design narratives that have been marginalized by society and overlooked within the design history.

The goal approach is to expand the design history and making sure that those marginalized voices from designers are being kept and celebrated before the 2000’s. The labels were created with the before 2000’s designers from marginalized groups in a traditional exhibition design system that contains bios of the designers with some of their 1-3 pieces of graphic design work within their professional design careers.
